Terms of service

These terms apply when you visit or buy from the Kanchi Foods online store, operated by Kanchi Foods LLC (“Kanchi Foods,” “we,” “us”). By using our store or placing an order, you agree to these terms. Our store is hosted on Shopify.

1. Using our store
You must be at least 18, or the age of majority where you live, to place an order, or have a parent or guardian’s permission. You agree to give accurate information when ordering and not to use the store for any unlawful purpose.

2. Products and product information
We describe our products, ingredients, and allergens as accurately as we can. The label on the package you receive is the final source of ingredient, allergen, and nutrition information, so please read it before use. Because our products are made with natural spices and ingredients, color, aroma, and texture can vary slightly from batch to batch and from product photos.

Our products are made in a facility that also processes peanuts and asafoetida (hing). If you have food allergies, please check each product’s allergen information before ordering.

3. Prices and availability
Prices are in US dollars and may change without notice. We may limit quantities, discontinue products, or decline orders, including orders that appear to be for resale without a wholesale agreement. If a product is listed at the wrong price because of an error, we may cancel the order and refund you in full, even after it has been confirmed.

4. Orders and payment
Your order is accepted when we send a shipping confirmation. Payments are processed securely through Shopify Payments, and you confirm you’re authorized to use the payment method you provide. Applicable sales tax is added at checkout.

5. Shipping
We currently ship within the United States. Delivery times are estimates, not guarantees. Ownership and risk of loss pass to you once your order is handed to the carrier, but we’ll still help with damaged or lost packages as described in our Return & Refund Policy.

6. Returns and refunds
Our Return & Refund Policy explains when we replace or refund orders and forms part of these terms.

7. Storage and use
Store products as directed on the label and use them by the Best By date. We’re not responsible for problems caused by improper storage after delivery.

8. Intellectual property

Our ownership. All content on this store, including the Kanchi Foods name and logo, the “Bangalore Flavors” name, product names, label and packaging designs, photographs, illustrations, recipes, product descriptions, text, graphics and the store’s design, is owned by or licensed to Kanchi Foods LLC. It is protected by US and international trademark, copyright, trade dress and other intellectual property laws.

Trademarks. Kanchi Foods™, Bangalore Flavors™, our logos and our product names are trademarks of Kanchi Foods LLC. You may not use them, or anything confusingly similar, in connection with any product or service that isn’t ours, in a way that suggests our endorsement, or in any way that could confuse customers or harm our reputation. Other names and marks shown on this store belong to their owners.

Limited permission. We give you a limited, personal, non-transferable permission to view and use this store to shop for our products. You may not copy, reproduce, republish, sell, modify, or create works from our content, or scrape or download it in bulk, without our written permission.

Recipes and descriptions. Recipes and serving suggestions are shared for your personal home use. You may not republish them commercially or present them as your own.

Resellers and retail partners. Stores that carry our products may use our name, logo, and product images only to advertise and sell genuine Kanchi Foods products, under their written agreement with us and any brand guidelines we provide.

Your feedback. If you send us ideas, suggestions or feedback, we may use them without any obligation to you.

Reporting infringement. If you believe content on our store infringes your copyright or other rights, contact us at ram@kanchifoods.com with a description of the work, where it appears on our store, and your contact details. We’ll review and respond promptly.

9. Reviews and comments
If you post reviews or comments, they must be honest and lawful. You give us permission to display and share them in connection with our store and marketing. We may remove content that’s offensive, misleading, or unrelated to our products.

10. Disclaimer
Our store and products are provided “as is.” To the extent the law allows, we make no warranties beyond those stated in these terms and our policies. Recipes and serving suggestions are for general guidance only.

11. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, Kanchi Foods LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of our store or products. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the order involved. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t be limited by law.

12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Fulton County, Georgia.

13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version posted when you place an order applies to that order.
